Safranhan opened in 2006 as a small gallery on the ground floor of a historic han in Karaköy. Today our gallery represents 64 artists and our auction house holds six sales a year, offering collectors works with documented provenance, condition reports and insurance. Commission, tax and shipping costs are stated clearly up front in every purchase and sale.

Collectors speak
I bought my first work from Safranhan. At every stage the documents, condition report and cost were explained clearly. The work is now in my living room and I get its care schedule from the studio.
In our office project we built a collection of nearly 18 works together with the advisers. They made choices that suited the budget and the architecture and delivered a flawless installation.
We had the work inherited from my father appraised and consigned it to auction. The preliminary view was honest, the reserve reasonable and payment was in my account on the promised day.
The gallery offers a respectful environment for artists. During the exhibition, cataloguing, promotion and sales reporting were transparent.
